Terry’s short-but-sweet statement, and over to Rio!

King John is dead! Long live King Rio!

Ferdinand

Ridiculously, Capello spent a week mulling things over, then endured a long plane journey, called a meeting with Terry, and took about ten minutes to get his point across. If, as had been requested, Terry told his side of the story, then it’s probably safe to assume that it went along the lines of: “I done sex with a woman.”

Capello could have saved himself the bother and just sent a text.

Terry has released this statement:

“I fully respect Fabio Capello’s decision. I will continue to give everything for England.”

And the word on the street is that Ferdinand will be stepping in.

Unless, of course, this is all just another one of his infamous “merks”.

Ah, what a good moral choice – the man who was co-organizer of the infamous ManU Christmas party that excluded WAGs and included ManU players and single girls, and who also missed a mandatory drug test. When the media have finished with Terry’s bones, they’ll find a new victim. Rio should be watching out.

to be fair, which long term top flight english player actually holds good morals – the majority of the regulars have some sort of black spot next to their name. The only senior england player i can think of without a black mark (abit injury) is michael owen, but he’s not really world case anymore.
I really hope that the extra responsible makes rio step up and watch his behavior as we all know he has a temper – i hope he succeeds in curbing his behavior, for both club and countries sake

Rio?? I think we all got merked there by Signor Capello. Brrap etc! Takes the piss (or rather forgets to). I’d choose a womaniser captain first any day.

Im not a England fan, being a Aussie, and seeing England go out in the 1/4 of major championship in penalties is one of the highlights..
but it kinda puzzles me why the England makes silly decisions when it comes to selecting a leader.
Sven had Beckham, who wasnt even club vice captian let alone 1st choice.
Then the infamous McClaren chose Terry, being a Long time Liverpool fan and seeing what Steven Gerrard does on the field I was gob smacked he chose Terry. As for Cappelo he must be hating himself for retaining Terry.
even worst he chooses in experience captain who have checkered past. Stevie G had his share of the indiscretions but the circumstances were different. Rio is only the captain at Man U because of Giggs and Neville being injury prone or not being what thet use to be.
but then knowing the england press if Gerrard was the captain it will only derail his game for club an country so best he isnt and doesnt get blamed for the 1/4 exit lol

why does everyone care what happens off the pitch. You pick a captain who can help on it and that is why they make big $$. Who give a flying fu(k what they do off it.

Don’t look to them to be the moral compass…look for good football and thats it!
