John no one is standing up for a player walking out on his team…but he was injured. Hence why he is a doubt for the game against Sunderland.

What people don’t like is bullshit being posted. Doesn’t take much just to ask someone what happened rather than post a blog post about him with lies and speculation.. but I dont want to knock the spoiler too much I like it here Just would like to see an update with the fact that he left the field of play due to injury and not for throwing his toys out of the pram.

Wow…pompey fans getting a little testy…standing up for a team that doesn’t deserve it. I am sure the spoiler will attack ManU or Chelski when thier players LEAVE a game with time still on the clock leaving 10 men to play.

Wow, taking out your frustrations of being wrong against yet another one of our players? Classy.

Having seen Hughes play well in several games against Man U I was not surprised to see his name on the team sheet. Hi passing was OK, as was his positioning, and he does not needless tackle if he thinks there are better options.

I wonder if none of the other media picked up on it because they realised he was injured, something you obviously failed to spot. Not good for people who write about football everyday!

From where The Spoiler was sitting – in the best seats at Old Trafford, upholstered in leather, carpet underfoot, on the half way line, naturally – Boateng was well enough to walk off the pitch under his own steam and headed down the touchline with the trainer trotting behind him in search, it seemed, of an explanation as to where Boateng thought he was going. It looked for all the world as if the player had unilaterally decided to call it a day. As neither MotD not the posh Sunday papers picked it up, we just wondered if anyone else knew what had happened.

While we’re on the subject though – Richard Hughes, worst performance ever by anyone in a football shirt. Playing badly is one thing, hiding on the pitch is a dereliction of duty. For confirmation, check out the Guardian’s Chalk Board – for a holding midfielder against a team camped permanently in his third of the field to end the day with just three tackles to his name makes you sympathise with Portsmouth’s many owners when it comes to signing the pay cheques.

What a rubbish article, no wonder as they put it; “the incident floated under the football radar”, was their reporter actually at the game like I was? He clearly injured himself as could be seen by him limping off of the pitch. Any player not in play on the sidelines either has to wear a bib or take his shirt off, exactly as he did. He hardly “stormed” off the pitch like Ian suggests.

Total tosh!
