>An attacking line of Fabregas, Messy and Imbra

So you want him to be a winger or a striker?
Why not fullback or goalie?

You folks dont seem to understand that you are not making a PES2010 team here.
The goooner guy has a point when he says Xavi and Iniesta would be ahead of him in the pecking order on the field.
ALL balls would pass through them and he would have to play totally differently from the way he has the past 5-6 years where he is the man.
You can be a team player coasting on others leadership when you reach 30.
In the prime of your career, your job is to be THE MAN, the one who creates, the one where all offensive possesions must pass through.

The offense can not go through everyone and Fabregas would end up playing a different role than the one that has made him who he is and most likely not have the same impact on a game. People will then wonder what happened, how come he isnt the same player and we know the rest.
Just like in Basketball if you have a player who needs the ball in his hands at all time (Like AI in his prime), you dont get more ballhogs but guys who can play off the ball, shooters and defensive specialists. There is only so much ball to go around in a game.

Going to Barcelona can not be the answer to every football question and honestly its the easy way out.
It takes more out of a player to do what a S. Gerrard does dragging a mediocre team on his shoulders and be THE guy than join a galacticos teams of the most expensive players.
Sure, your chances of winnnig are better with the other team but your chance to lead your team (a la the miracle of 2005) is to me a much greater reward.
Sort of like being a rich heir and taking the family money and name to make yours or doing it on your own.
The personal satisfaction is much higher with one while the other way is a guaranteed result.

Xavi has been the on field maestro since Guardiola left and he is about 29-30 and his contract was extended to 2014.
Iniesta has taken some of those responsabilities and is only 25 and he is also extended to 2014.

The chances that either will be moved elsewhere if Fabregas comes? Zero.

I disagree with the comments on Fab sitting on the bench because of Xavi and Iniesta. I believe the Barca board are trying to find a good replacement for Henry, as he is leaving this summer for New York Red Bulls. An attacking line of Fabregas, Messy and Imbra is truly something I look forward to witnessing.

I agree with goonergerry in some points. It's true that it was very wise of him to go to Arsenal because Xavi and Iniesta had better chances than him at that point.
He learned from English football and made himself one of the best in his position. We don't know what would had happened if he'd stayed in FCB, I guess he wouldn't be that good now.
If we take Piqué's story, it's similar. He left FCB very young to England because he wouldn't had good chances here, he made himself a good footballer and then he came back. Now he is one of the best in the world, isn't he?
I think Cesc is a world top player right now and he wouldn't be in the bench, he could make Barça even bigger. It's his home, his people.
In case of failure, he would not go to boring-cheating Italian football, he would come back to England.
Good luck to Arsenal anyway

Well Carles-despite the results this week, he will win more in Arsenal's first team than sitting on Barca's bench. The only reason that he went to Arsenal is that he is behind Xavi and Iniesta in the pecking order- and always will be.
I GUARANTEE you that if Cesc returns to Barca this summer he will be demanding a move in 12 months time to get some proper playing time- and you will lose him to Italy.

He wants to win titles. He will never win anything with the Gunners so it makes sense to come back home. It's as simple as that.
Thank you very much Wenger. All the best.
