Radio Ga Ga!

Seriously, Cesc is joining Barcelona… apparently

“Got him!”

Puyol and Fabregas

The old saying about actions speaking louder than words doesn’t appear to exist in sunny Spain. Perhaps something is lost in translation?

But, after yesterday’s revelation that Ivan Gazidis – Arsenal’s chief executive – had personally crafted a poison pen letter from old tabloid headlines (or something) demanding that Barcelona stay away from Fabregas, the popular Spanish radio station, Cadena SER, decided to announce that the midfielder has already made a “verbal agreement” to return to the Nou Camp in the summer.

The report went a little something like this:

“There is a firm agreement between Barca and Cesc Fabregas even if it is only verbal.”

“Several meetings have taken place and, following those meetings, Cesc told Barca that he wanted to rejoin them from next season.”

Of course, some of you might notice the foggy nature of the statement, which appears to lack any actual sources.

But, with presidential elections in the offing at Barca, the signing (or not) of Fabregas could yet play a big part in who comes out on top between the contenders for the throne – Alfons Godall or Sandro Rosell.

This looks set to drag on and on.

Let us know your thoughts about whether or not Fabregas should go to Barca with a lovely comment.

Yes, he should go. He’s not going to win anything at Arsenal.

AND if it means more despairing pictures of Arsène Wenger with his head in his hands, how can anyone argue.

    Blah blah blah blah.

At least I don’t have to pay 30p to read this sub-tabloid drivel.

Can we have more WAGs again please?

    Thanks.

Barcelona have denied the report, looks like yet another Fab-rication.

Yeah, what happened to the WAGs?

Seriously though, Fabregas joining the current Barca team … then getting rid of Terry Henry and getting a decent replacement for him … that’s a very worrying/mouthwatering prospect!

I’d like to play a new game, it’s called “Without a Clue”

Col. Mustard, in the comments, without a clue.

Not whinging, mustard, nor a mug. This shit happens every year. Fab will go to Barca eventually, I’m not denying that. His heart is with that club, but it won’t be this year. End of.

i’m hoping he doesn’t go to barca. he’s a great player and i’d love to see him actually win something like he deserves. it’d be a smart move for him to go, i just hate barca and don’t want to see them get another great player.

Barca cant be the answer to every football question and professionally speaking winning with a loaded team cant be as satisfying as taking a mediocre team like Gerrard did in the miracle of 2005 run.

Besides, there are always Xavi and Iniesta ahead of him at Barca, both have extended to 2015 and Iniesta is just 25.

If Cecs goes there, he will not have the same role as in Arsenal and nowhere as many ball touches as in Arsenal where every offense starts through him.
He will have less possession and then people will ask what happened to him at the end of the year..

Have you ever seen time sharing arrangements work in basketball?
If you got LeBron James on your team, you dont go get a Point Guard who needs the ball in his hand, it wouldnt work.

I dont see how Fabregas goes to Barca with both Xavi and Iniesta still around.

In 4 years, I can see it happen.
