"I'm Amazing!"

Chelsea should have stuck with me, purrs Mourinho

Hands up who’s brilliant…

Jose Mourinho

As he gets older, Jose Mourinho appears to be turning into one of those awful “told you so” people. The ones who eventually give up talking altogether, and communicate only in tutting sounds.

His latest “told you so” moment comes courtesy of today’s Daily Mirror, in which the Inter boss suggests that Chelsea would have been better off keeping him on board:

“Chelsea have suffered in the last two years, and it’s no coincidence that their decline happened after I left.”

“We had a unique relationship as a manager, players and fans, and when you break that, it’s not easy to fix. They’ve had a lot of coaches since and maybe some didn’t have the mentality for the club. Maybe they tried to change too much of what we put in place.”

“I knew there was no time for a long-term plan with the owner they have at Stamford Bridge. You must win the title in your first season or say bye-bye.”

“I gave them what they needed but I always knew it wasn’t a job that would last forever. Maybe they would’ve been better off sticking with me than changing manager when they did.”

He went on to suggest that he and Ancelotti aren’t particularly close:

“Ancelotti is no friend of mine and this won’t change. In England, you’re shown respect if you’re a foreign coach who comes in and offers his experience and knowledge.”

“But in Italy, this respect only comes if you’re born as an Italian. Someone like me, the foreigner, isn’t considered worthy of being here. This is why I say I was happier working in England.”

“Let’s see if Ancelotti can finish his time at Chelsea with a record as good as mine!”

Aww, humble as ever.

Besides playing ugly football Chelsea would have been in more debt now had Mourinho stayed

Rob – Chelsea played some of the best football seen at Stamford Bridge in Mourinho’s first two seasons with Duff and Robben out wide. Also, I’m not sure why you think Chelsea would be in more debt but if it’s relating to buying players then you need to consider how many were bought before his arrival. Didn’t really think this one through did you?

My view on Mourinho is that I always suspected him of being a bit of a conman, he will always join teams that are already successful or on the verge of becoming successful, that way he cant go wrong much.

Mourinho was the best manager Chelsea ever had. Hiddinck was 2nd, Ancelotti reminds me of Ranieri. Wish Mourinho was back. Hope to god L’poo and ManUre don’t get him.

feel sorry for you guys that you cannot see through this hoax of a man. Thank you God for granting me a little bit of wisdom.

Ted – Aside from six trophies in three seasons at Chelsea he’s managed to win the league, cup, UEFA cup and Champions league with Porto and now Serie A with Inter. In fact with three different clubs, in three different countries he has not had a season without trophies for eight years. That’s one hell of a hoax…….

What I am saying is that he joins teams that are sure to win trophies which most of us could do, let him try winning torphies with lets say above average teams like Birimingam, Everton, Fulham, want happen gauranteed.
