Bridge is just a bottler, say John Terry’s pals
Ahhh, such happy times!
Like a big pendulum, most likely shaped like a putrid live footballer’s testicle, attention has now swung from the Cole saga – what will Cheryl do about that unfortunate neck tattoo? – and back into the Bridge/Terry axis of malcontent.
The situation is far from resolved, with both parties still reportedly (according to today’s Daily Mail and Guardian) angry, but for different reasons.
In Bridge’s case, he’s upset because Terry hasn’t actually said “sorry” for secretly impregnating the mother of his child, then forking out for an abortion. Instead, the former England skipper has released a series of self-obsessed soundbites about how determined he is to get his old job back.
It has been a startling display of remorselessness from Terry, one which paints a picture of a dressing room bully – or, in more day-to-day terms, the kind of abhorrent pub idiot who says things like “any hole’s a goal”, or uses terms like “cock blocking” and actually means it.
JT, it’s now safe to assume, is not a very nice chap.
A hunch confirmed in today’s Guardian, in which “friends” of the Chelsea man declare that Bridge has long since been regarded as “a bottler”, not cut out for the media glare of football. Or, again in more day-to-day terms, a shy person, who doesn’t deal very well with confrontation.
Apparently, Camp Terry – which, by the way, rather lacks human empathy – is cross because Bridge’s England resignation looks likely to win sympathy with the general public.
The consensus being that the unfortunate cuckold should man up and put the whole torrid affair behind him.
Certainly, Fabio Capello seems convinced that Bridge will come around in time:
“We have time, there is still three months until I will decide my final squad for South Africa. I hope that Wayne Bridge will be with us at the World Cup but I respect his decision.”
Much, of course, will be made of the weekend’s handshake situation when the pair meet at Stamford Bridge – a scenario which, on current form, is likely to find Terry somehow painting himself as the “bigger man”. In his own head, at least.
This one is far from resolved.
Suggestions please.
Perhaps someone should sleep with Terry’s “baby mama”?

Wayne Bridge who I always liked is behaving like an idiot, he dumped the girl before Terry moved in, the only victim here is Terry’s wife who has forgiven him for the last time. If a person has no attachment she if free to do sleepwith whover t she likes. The fact that she slept with a married man is his problem and no-one else.

That Bridge had broken up with her already is more or less irrelevant. You CANNOT hook up with a friend/teammates recent ex and expect them not to mind. John Terry is a dirtbag and this proves it beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Trebor // February 26, 2010 at 11:48 am
In the first place Bridge was not even married to this woman, what is the difference living in sin and doing what Terry did, the sin is the same. Also to call someone a dirt bag can only mean thay you must be Jesus himself. Look at yourself first before you condem others.

I think its one thing to shag your mates ex girlfriend and not expect him to mind. Quite another to moralise about it generally. Wayne Bridge’s ex was exactly that – his ex. Whether he likes it or not, she didn’t belong to him and certainly wasn’t his possession. To be frank if she fancied Terry and he fancied her, it had absolutely nothing to do with Bridge AT ALL.
To add some personal context. I ended up with my best mates ex girlfriend. He didn’t talk to me for a couple of years, but I’m still with her 18 years later and have 2 children with her.
So I had no regrets then or now; was I right or was I wrong? Who cares we all have our own path to follow.

Got to say I’m with Rob on this one, Peroncell (or whatever her name is) was single, Bridge was single, their relationship had finished, she was free to do what she wanted, Bridge was free to do what he wanted, Terry wasn’t, but did anyway. Alright, they used to be team mates and still may play in the national colours together. I can completely understand that this may be difficult, but after all, they are professionals, paid richely for their ‘jobs’, get to represent their country and are idolised by their clubs’ fans. We all need to remember that – we are talking about their jobs, their work, and as far as I am concerned, just because their jobs happen to be playing football, they should leave their personal problems at home and get on with their work as you or I would be expected to do. Nuff said…

Simon, well said real words of wisdom, so few in Britain that can see beyond their little minds

Great comments, all. Very strong arguments. But I don’t think that the problem is the technicalities of whether or not Bridge’s ex was fair game – she was, as pointed out, single – but more that John Terry has shown nothing in the way of remorse for his actions with regards to his old team mate…

You’re all idiots!
Terry is a scumbag of the highest level as proven by his previous scandals and still you lot continue to protect him.
No wonder he thinks he’s invincible because he knows that whatever he does the gullible British people will welcome him back with open arms because this is the type of society we live in, sadly.

It’s a shame to see so much opinion here and elsewhere on something only Terry, Bridge, whatserface, their immediate circle, and possibly the news of the world, know anything about.
I would suggest waiting for their respective piss-poor, ghost written autobiographies to appear before we get any semblance of the truth.
Until then, lets talk about football.
How about that ashley cole eh? oooh.
What a d*ickhead. oooh.
How could he do that to that lovely cheryl?
etc etc

All these comments do is reinforce the impression that men are are, basically, cunts.
“Fair game mate, she was fair game”. What a gang of pricks. As the article pointed out, she is the mother of his child.
I suppose there was always going to be the Nuts contingent who in between laughing at WKD adverts and calling their mates “ledges” would find the time to cook up some self justifying bullshit in the face of what they would correctly identify as tacit criticism of their own aspirations and attitudes.
Rob // February 26, 2010 at 6:40 pm
I totally agree with you MikeLymane.
The ‘bottler’ campaign allegedly being generated from Terry’s camp is making me think that I wouldn’t be sorry if Terry never played for England again.

forget the shagging.
Terry – national and team captain – has proved he can’t be trusted by wife, girlfriend, friends or team mates. The man is a scumbucket.

You know the odds are pretty good that the big talkers here have only a long term relationship with their right palm.
But it takes a special kind of cunt like Trebor to quote biblical passage to protect his hero AND in the same shot put the onus on everybody else BUT Terry.
Put me in the same class as that trash Terry one more time and I will fuck your mother until her brains spill out of her ass. (what, you think youre the only one who gets a free shot like that)
The others with the macho atittude are nothing more than meaningless internet farts who couldnt spell respect or honour if you gave them all the letters but Trebor is a whole on a whole different level of douchebaggery for his efforts.
I have no problem with Cole, whether you cheat on your wife is your own thing.
Heck, if you end up banging the woman of a sworn enemy, there is a certain level of acceptance and dare I say admiration for cuckolding an enemy.
But your mate on two teams is a different story.
Im pretty sure like most bullies, Terry feels at his most powerful with the weaker and meaker types he can fuck with. He probably knew that the worse Bridge was gonna to is pout. As opposed to some other more hardass player who might have taken a 2×4 to Terrys kneecaps or even a gun to his balls if you even look at his woman.
Bullies prey on the weak. Luckily, Terry doesnt play in the NBA. Try that shit in a lockerroom and the Glocks come out real quick.

If this had been in Australia terry would have been run out of town. No guy should sleep with a Mates ex considering they had kids.
The Godfather // March 1, 2010 at 12:43 am
The pricks on here defending Terry are as someone so eloquently put, the kind who deem every hole to be a goal. Lets pretend the Terry lovers on here had wives (unlikely) and also children by these wives (even more unlikely) and after splitting up with them then find out their brother is now fucking their ex behind their back, would you still think she’s fair game as you’re no longer with her? Be it family or mates, you dont do that to someone unless you’re scum!
Bridge should have hit the prick with a tackle at knee or better still cock height!
The Truth // March 1, 2010 at 9:41 am
I was never keen on John Terry, dont like or trust people with those kind of eyes but if you see all the evil around the world, murderers, rapists violent robbers, crooks, evil politicians, starvation, diseases, wars, terrorists, what a buch of hypocrites we all are to blow this story up to such an extent when so many others are suffering. The world has really gone nuts.

Bridge is in it for revenge, he could not satisfy the girl so other teamates shagged her, if he was really worried about England he would drop the phoney righteous act
