Real Madrid are “obsessed” with Wayne Rooney
“Take me with you”
In terrifying bunny boiler terms, Real Madrid are probably Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction. Their seduction style is direct and borderline-hysterical, a world away from the more subtle knickerless Sharon Stone leg-crossing techniques of teams like Barcelona or Chelsea. Were this analogy to continue, Man United might be Jessica Rabbit, and Liverpool would currently be Pat from Eastenders.
Anyway, the most recent Michael Douglas figure baking up a storm inside Real Madrid underpants is cut to the dashing figure of Wayne Rooney. Ex-Real President, Ramon Calderon, said this on Radio Five Live:
“It seems that it’s an obsession for the president (Florentino Perez) to go for Rooney. I imagine Manchester United wouldn’t like to lose a player like him.”
“I don’t know if it is possible to spend again another 100 or 80million more euros. I imagine in that case you (Manchester United) would have to sell.”
For around £80million, would Man United really sell their most prized possession? That’s the question.
It wouldn’t be the first time.

I think the Glazers would sell him without a second thought.

The only way they would sell him was if he wanted to go, just like Ronaldo. The chances of Wayne wanting to move that far away from his family after just becoming a father and leaving the greatest club in the world are zero. Game over. I am not sure why Real Madrid have decided that ManU is their training academy but they need to look elsewhere.
