Rumour Update

Fuming John Terry runs over fan, says Spanish press

JT – bad driver?

John Terry

The big news from our bronzed cousins over at AS.com and Marca is that John Terry could be in another spot of bother.

According to reports, the disgruntled skipper was so keen to leave Stamford Bridge as quickly as possible last night, that when his car was mobbed by curious fans gazing into the window to have a butchers at JT and his loyal wife, Toni, he lost his patience, stepped on the gas, and ran one of the unfortunate sods over.

They go on to suggest that Terry didn’t bother hanging around to check if he’d done any real damage, although “eye witnesses” claim that the victim had a slightly sore knee, but “his life wasn’t in danger”.

Can anyone confirm this? Were you there?

Rumours also suggest that the incident delayed the Inter bus leaving Stamford Bridge, as it was just behind Terry’s furious motorcar when it all kicked off.

UPDATE: The story has since made it’s way onto the Daily Mail, and but for a few key points, the Spanish sites were spot on! As it happens, Terry drove very slowly into a security steward’s leg, spraining the unfortunate chap’s ankle.

A spokesman said this:

“John was travelling at about 2-3mph, edging towards exit of the car park, when he was surrounded by a pack of photographers who were jostling the car.”

“He drove off unaware of any incident but he’s been told since and has rung the injured person and spoken to him.”

So there you have it.

I was there and saw the whole incident, amazed that I can’t find anything online apart from this.
Basically the Chelsea fans mobbed JT’s car while he was trying to drive out, one of the fans was a young boy, no older than 10, he had no arms and was in a wheelchair being pushed by his limping grandmother. We all gave him space to get his jersey signed but JT’s saw him and ran him over on purpose. Cheating on his wife, running over fans, what next – the footballing world realising that he is the most limited over rated scum bag ever to play…
