“I don’t want to play against Arsenal” moans Henry
Aww, Thierry’s a bit upset
If you happened to be enjoying a cycling holiday in Barcelona last Friday, you might have heard some hysterical weeping coming from a large house at around 11.30am. You probably thought it was a broken wife washing up dirty plates, wondering why she even bothers. But, actually, it was more likely to be the womanly sobs of Thierry Henry.
As reported in today’s Express, the former Arsenal man is NOT HAPPY with the Champions League draw. No sir. Not one bit. He said this:
”Whenever there is a draw for the Champions League I am in pain.”
“I’m not saying I won’t try to fight or whatever, because that’s the way the game is. But I don’t want to play against Arsenal.”
“It will be weird for me to step on the pitch, even if it’s at the Emirates and not Highbury, with another club’s shirt on.”
And would he celebrate if he happened to put one past his old pals?
“Forget about it. No. I do not want to play against Arsenal, simple as that.”
“The bond that I have with the Arsenal fans I will never get anywhere else, because I don’t think I will ever play for another team for that long.”
Poor Thierry. There, there.
