Spurs fans to spend summer learning song about cows

Tell you who’d have no trouble milking this – Sandro

Cow

Whenever a new player joins a club, it can be a real ball-ache having to come up with a new song/chant just for them. Hence why most players with a double-syllabled surname simply have to make do with a very pedestrian recital of whatever it says on the back of their shirt.

So how refreshing that the new Spurs man – the tough Brazilian midfielder, Sandro - hasn’t only joined the club for around £6.5million, but he also comes complete with a song that his fans at Inter (the Brazilian version) absolutely adore leaning back and bellowing during a match.

As reported in today’s Metro, it goes a little something like this:

“Sandro raya de golas, Sandro raya de golas, Sandro raya de golas, que nosotros le daremos una vaca y él hace leche.”

Which basically means: “Sandro scores goals, so if we get him a cow, he’ll definitely milk it”

That he gets results is probably what they’re getting at here, using the cow as a clever metaphor. Or perhaps he does actually milk cows?

Either way, you have around six months to learn it off by heart, Spurs fans. Good luck.

I’m confused: Why are these Brazilian Inter fans singing in Spanish?
