Street rapper Jay-Z wants to give Arsenal some money

In light of a recent article about Thierry Henry, which appears to have bizarrely ruffled a few feathers, The Spoiler is now rather fearful of being labeled “anti-Arsenal” just by writing about the club.

So, it is with very dainty feet hovering over delicate North London eggshells that news has filtered in, and now out again, regarding a possible financial investment in Arsenal from one of rap music’s most treasured poets – Jay-Z.

He said this, as reported in today’s Mirror:

“I don’t know a lot about the business of soccer, but in the future if the right opportunity presented itself, then who knows?”

“I am a businessman, and I will always look at an opportunity, and if it feels right great.”

The word on the street is that the rapper has been an Arsenal fan for about five years, and may yet be keen to add to his various baggy trousers clothing shops and aggressive music projects by sinking some of his millions into the Emirates. He continued:

“I don’t know if there are any Jay-Z fans in the current team but if there are they would be more than welcome to come to my next concert when I am over in London.”

“They can come and see me do my work, and then I will come and see them do their work.”
