It’s easy to forget that deep down, dogs are just wild animals. They have all of the same attributes as the lone wolves that prowl through wastelands hunting for prey – fangs, weird claws/feet, fur, massive drooling tongues. And yet most of the time they seem so sweet.
But they’re not.
As reported in the Independent, Diego Maradona has recently been reminded of a dog’s more savage nature, thanks to one of his very own pets deciding to ungratefully take a chunk from his face, after years of fetching sticks, getting fed, watered, and having its revolting little turds teased into plastic bags and chucked into a nearby skip.
Witnesses at a local clinic said that Maradona arrived with a bleeding dog bite to the mouth, and presumably a broken heart.
The good news is that he is totally fine, probably just a bit livid with his pet.
Could this be cruel fate’s failed attempt to dispose of the Argentina boss before the World Cup?
