Flowers – lovely, but expensive

It wasn’t so long ago that The Spoiler was complaining about a serious lack of funny footballers. They all just seem so humourless, with their self-important haircuts, and their arms full of the most fashionable tattoos.

But one man seriously bucking that particular trend is Andrey Arshavin – the increasingly hilarious fashion graduate who plays for Arsenal. His blog is a thing of deliberate comic wonder, and after the jump you can enjoy a few choice cuts from his latest Q&A…

My friend and I are ready to settle down, all our classmates are getting married one by one, but we are still sitting and waiting for you – footballers. (We are not waiting for married footballers).
Arshavin: Is it necessary for you to settle down with footballers? If so, try your luck with guys right out of football school. Maybe something will come out of it and your friend and you will get lucky.

Arshavin: If life forces me I will wash them, but, actually, we have washing machines for this now.

Hello Andrey! What did you spend your first salary on? And what did you feel when you received it? Wish you all the best!
Arshavin: I remember that even back in sports school “Smena” I received some salary. I spent that money on chocolate bars or something like this. As for my very first “Zenit” salary, I bought a couch with it.
