Wow, a double whammy of Andrey Arshavin news. No sooner had The Spoiler put the finishing touches on an intriguing piece about his views on car buying, then along comes a whopper from The Daily Mail.

With the transfer window looming on the horizon, the pint-sized fashion designer has made his feelings very clear about what a Barcelona move would mean to him. He said this:

“If I played just a year in Barcelona it would be the pinnacle of my career.”

“Barca are the best team in the world and I enjoy their style of play so much.”

With Fabregas seemingly off the menu, would Barca be better off having a pop at Arshavin instead?

Or would he be just another Aliaksandr Hleb?
