Sore Losers

Barcelona turn on sprinklers to dampen Inter celebrations

“Activate water!”

Of course, the law dictates that you can’t just shoot people in the face for getting on your nerves any more, so, in riot situations, cops tend to borrow big boa constrictor hose pipes from their buddies in the fire brigade to defend against protestors. The results are twofold. Firstly, the water acts as a cold shower, waking them up from their pot-induced rage. And secondly, it makes their clothes really really wet. Ouch.

As buzz-killing techniques go, it’s up there with the serious overuse of sarcasm, and employing a woman called Sue to run the meet-and-greet part of your election campaign.

Anyway, in the aftermath of last night’s humiliation against ten men, the bruised egos in charge at Barcelona decided to adopt the old water technique to quash the on-pitch Inter Milan celebrations.

As reported in Marca, while the players leapt joyfully about the pitch in a football recreation of one child shouting “in your face” to another child, on came around 52 sprinklers to soak them off the pitch and into the dressing room. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out quite so well. If anything, the water just made them even more excitable.

Once again Barca shows themselves to be the petulant sore losers they are. Great win Inter! Jose gets his revenge for last years semifinal looting at the hands of Ovrebo.

Being a Fc Barcelona fan myself,I was ashamed of the actions of Victor Valdes, the management and most of our fans.Ofcourse winning is sweet, but we must learn how to accept defeat or else it becomes an obsession. It appears we are headed to calamity.Fc Barcelona has lost its reputation worlwide.
I hope UEFA takes the appropriate actions.Valdes actions were inciting and is capable of leading to a huge calamity.Justice is neccessary no matter whose ox is gored.

The sprinklers were definitely a ‘menos que un club’ moment.
    No class.

Hopefully Busquets can sneak a peak at the final in three weeks’ time.

The grass was looking kinda dry at the end. They had to get it ready for this weekend’s game.

Laporta, president of Barcelona FC, about the incident with the sprinklers:

“I see no problem because when you end a game you´re very sweety and a bit of water doesn´t do bad”
