Anyone who actually pays attention to Inter during the moments when the English press aren’t writing about them in SCANDALIZED ALL CAPS knows that Balotelli’s teammates don’t hate them, and also that Maicon is one of his closest friends on the team. Don’t let that get in the way of creating a hero narrative around a petulant jerk who’s always had problems controlling his temper and can’t handle his business around a teenager, though.

watch Maicon and Totti tap each other as Totti was walking off …which by the way was really cool. it looked like some hitman who just killed his mark, puts his gun down on the floor and walks away emotionlessly. if you could slomo that walk along with a power ballad, youd have movie gold. not good movie, Im talking Michael Bay stuff here.

materazzi did the same thing to balotelli after the game where he threw his shirt.

its gotta be pretty hard to be hated by opposing fans, your own fans, opposing players and your own teammates but balotelli has done a great job.
