Man City prepare massive bid for angry Steven Gerrard

Gerrard – at tipping point?

Steven Gerrard

After a very disappointing season, if Alan Hansen is to be believed, it’s time for Liverpool to wipe the slate clean and start all over again. And in rebuilding terms, £100million or more for a couple of sales doesn’t sound like a bad bit of business.

Only, they’d have to sell Gerrard and Torres.

Much has already been made of big £70million moves for Torres, and now the word on the street (or, more specifically in today’s Mirror) is that Man City are set to scupper Real Madrid’s chances of landing Stevie G, by coming in with a whopping £40million for a player set to turn 30 at the end of this month.

It will surely be too much for the club to turn down.

But would Gerrard be insane to move to a team operating outside of the Champions League? Let us know your thoughts with a comment.

And now to the “angry” bit of the piece. Below is Gerrard pushing a young fan after yesterday’s disappointing draw…

the Mirror is full of poop. Why on Earth would Gerrard leave for another team rhat’s not in the Champs league. Its not like he needs the money!

Gerrard is a piece of work no doubt, but that video is hardly the worst thing he’s ever done. I mean the “fan” is clearly trying to rip something off him and he pushes back.

Why are they on the pitch at all? Why aren’t the stewards protecting him? There are bigger questions at work here than Stevie V pushing someone away from him as he’s being mobbed.

Oh, and yeah, nice transfer rumor I think I already read that one in three other places. Good reporting!

The so called fan was trying to rip his captains armband off. Another website has tried to stir up anti Gerrard feeling by calling what he did “assault” Given the disgraceful and untrue rumour mongering against him and the chants of the Hull supporters during this game and the negligence of Hull (never mind you won’t have so many big names to look after next season) I wouldn’t have blamed him if he’d twatted the little shit in the face. But he didn’t. Although I’m sure that’s what this non story will morph into.

Apologies if you had already read that rumour Tim, how very taxing for you, but I suppose that’s the very nature of rumours – that people hear about them. I’m only surprised that you read the headline, then continued with the story…

The fan said that Phil Collins was shit.
