Pointless bringing Carragher back given that both King and Upson are likely to be ahead of him in the CB pecking order and that he has been in poor form all season. I would just let Milner cover RB in the final 23.

Good to see an element of form influencing the selection i.e. Parker, King, Bent and Dawson.

Come the final selection we’ll hopefully be saying goodbye to Carragher (poor form all season, Milner can cover RB), SWP (hasn’t been playing for City regularly, not as good as Walcott and Lennon), Carrick (hasn’t been playing for United regularly and when he has, has not had much impact), Dawson (I just think that Capello rates Upson a little higher, unlucky), Defoe (gone off the boil recently, unlike Bent), Warnock (not as good as Baines in covering LB), and barring a great showing in the warm ups Joe Cole (who has not had a great season since coming back from injury)

Yes this is okay. I can beat all of them.

Stupid that we haven’t got a ‘proper’ back up right back. Johnson has huge defensive fragilities and having his back up as Carragher is not good enough.

I know theres not many English right backs knocking about at the moment but I’d rather have Neville as least he’s played a substation part of the season as a right back.

Ooh, that Lampsy is quite cute. I’d like to touch his face.

But I’m no fag, no sir.

Like @benhuggy said, we don’t have a backup for Glen Johnson at right-back.

Why not take Gary Neville or Micah Richards instead of two left-backs?

I’d ask for more Spurs players but he appears to have taken every englishman in the starting 11.

    Defoe, Crouch

    Huddlestone, Lennon

    Dawson, King,

Hope Defoe shows something more than he’s been showing for Spurs. He’s been behind the ball way too often.

Carragher had a shakey start to the season.. But Liverpool have kept as many clean sheets as Chelsea this season and Carragher has been rock solid for the last 6 months. He’s beeen as good as Terry and Ferdinand for the last 6 years and Terry even said himself recently that Carra was the best Centre back in Britain.

However he’s a average right back at best, he could do a job there but I totally agree with playing Milner or even Gerrard at right back.

ledley king does NOT deserve to be going.

if we took two right backs instead wed only have one left back lol. which would you prefer.

no Ray Parlour? offers more defensively on the right side and could cover RB at a push
