OMFG! Joe Cole is soooo good, hyperventilates Stevie G

After a rather forgetable season - which appeared to average a playing time of about 28 seconds per match - most of the football-watching world has probably forgotten that Joe Cole was once a cheerful little pup with a bag of tricks to rival any professional wizard’s hilarious suitcase.

But now, he just looks really moody all of the time. Plus he’s got the beginnings of a classic Zidane bald patch. What’s that about?

Anyway, in a bid to remind the planet that Joe Cole is really good at footie, Steven Gerrard has gone so far as to compare him to Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo – albeit only in training. He said this, as reported in today’s Mirror:

“Joe Cole does some amazing stuff in training.”

“He’s as good as Messi or Ronaldo on the ball, and he’ll give any player a run for their money when it comes to tricks.”
