Theo Walcott left at home as Capello trims World Cup squad

Are you really that surprised?

The official announcement on England‘s 23-man World Cup squad is coming later this afternoon, but it seems news of the winners and losers is already finding its way across the internet, with the biggest story being Arsenal’s Theo Walcott will NOT be getting a ticket to South Africa.

Unconfirmed reports suggest Adam Johnson also been cut along with Darren Bent (being the Premier League’s second highest English goalscorer obviously isn’t enough when you’ve got Emile Heskey ready to pull on a shirt) and Leighton Baines.

It looks like Gareth Barry has overcome injury concerns to grab a spot on the plane, alongside Joe Cole, Shaun Wright-Philips, Michael Carrick, Stephen Warnock and Ledley King.

More news once the FA has made an official statement, but until then, your thoughts?

Not surprised to hear Walcott is cut, but not too sure about leaving out Bent?!!

Is Walcott even English? He plays for Arsenal afterall…

The others are apparently, Huddlestone, Baines, Dawson, Adam Johnson, D. Brent and Scotty “too hotty” Parker.
