The Big Question

Who should Liverpool’s next manager be?

One of these men, perhaps?

Ian Rush and Kenny Dalglish

With Rafa Benitez finally bringing the second most drawn-out job departure of the year to a close – well done to Gordon Brown for the first one (whoah, political comedy!) – a window of opportunity has opened up for some other poor sod to attempt to bring the best out of Lucas, Babel and the rest.

Names flying around today include: Mark Hughes, Manuel Pellegrini, and King Kenny Kenny Kenny. But who would YOU like to see sliding into Benitez’s vacant leather office chair?

since the club is oh so very short on cash it has got to be a manager who is really good at building a team from youth and clever scouting…like martin o’neill has shown he can do.
but the club and the supporters will have to be patient with whoever comes in – unless a really potent buyer emerges

King Kenny would be a decent choice if they can convince him to come back. Otherwise Martin O’Neill for sure, although actually picking him up would be difficult.

It should be Steve Nicol. He’s a liverpool legend and has been getting loads of experience coaching(and winning) in MLS where he has incredible roster constraints and no money to spend. Sounds perfect for the situation on Merceyside.

It won’t be anybody Special. There’s no way Liverpool are lifting O’Neill off of Villa. King Kenny is a nice dream, more romantic than pragmatic. We don’t need any retread. I’d rather find out what Zola can do with some guys that can actually play…but it still might not be enough to keep players from jumping ship.

i would like to see King Kenny in a mentor position and bring Sami Hyypia back and let him start to look after team affairs and have KK there as support, with the experience and motivational skills of Kenny and also the passion and desire to win from Sami, this could form an interesting partnership and who better to learn from??

marco van basten, guus hiddink, frank rijkaard, ruud gullit or slaven bilic…

however, basten is the best one… indeed…

Couldn’t agree with DS more, Steve Nicol would be a great target. Other then him possibly Lippi if it would be possible!

If Kenny Dalglish is not named the new Liverpool manager I will be disgusted. Why do the board not see thats what the fans want? Pellegrini? Erm…who?

if England ask Fab, to withdraw, then i think he is such a good manager at club level, he would be great for LFC, look at the facts he has shown, apart from international level he would suit LFC very well, or you could opt for RH, but you need someone who will instal a bit of passion and pride, maybe one of the old school boys King Kenny, but if i was the board, which im not, i would look at Fabio, we let Rafa, go and you have no idea, what you have done, it proves that he is still a very rated manager, becuase of who came for him the second, he was told he could leave, stupid move, but im not in control, so lets see, who they actually put in place..mmmmm upset liverpool fan, but you never walk alone
