Real Madrid XI

Is this Jose Mourinho’s dream Real Madrid XI?

Not bad…

Real Madrid

There is still much speculation about which players might end up at Real Madrid come the end of next month – Ozil and Khedira have been linked with a move. Jose fancies Cole and Carvalho from his Chelsea days.

Might his starting XI end up looking rather like the above piccy? Thoughts?

Not at all …I don see a RM without Ramos and who wants and old carvalho when we have the solid albiol and i also don think ozil is gud enuf to replace kaka behind the striker .

Khedira will be on switch with lass and diarra

  • Next Ronaldo // July 29, 2010 at 5:00 pm

init why would we want carvalho hes not that good when you compare him to ramos or marcelo and why have pepe i dont rate him to world class like ramos, marcelo and maicon and cole.

There is no chance that Jose would choose Carvalho over Sergio Ramos. Ramos is in his prime and I think he should still be playing right back although he did excellent last year playing in the center. Ozil is not coming to Madrid so that’s out of the question, and that spot will be filled by either Van der Vaart or Kaka pending on who is in better form.

Ramos will not be dropped carvalho will not be bought, I doubt Cole will be bought. If özil comes it’s next year. He shouldn’t make the same mistake of playing Marcelo as a left back because he sucks at defending. I’d say we will defineatly be seeing some Pedro Leon and canales. Hopefully diarra can leave so that lass and khedira can switch off. I don’t know how much granero we will be seeing this year, and I’d say van der vaart is really going to have to prove himself to not lose his spot to özil when and if they sign him. For all we know maicon might not even be coming, the dumped are all from Italy conceding the agreement for 28million but Madrid has denied that to be true. So in the case we get someone else. I think it would be central defender so whoever they get will play in the middle with pepe, Ramos on the right and hopefully arbeloa on the left or vice versa. In the middle we’ll have xabi Alonso and either lass or khedira, or Pedro Leon with either kaka, canals or van deer vaart playing attacking middle.(most likely kaka). Then left and right wing, di Maria and Ronaldo, then higuain and benzema playing striker. Booya

still caah go no where barca, with that imaginary team lol.

  • Minea // July 29, 2010 at 9:22 pm

Almost right! ;-) But it will be as follows:
    Casillas
    Maicon – Ramos – Carvalho – A Cole
    Alonso – Pepe
    Di Maria – Kaka- Ronaldo
    Higuain

  • madrid // July 29, 2010 at 10:59 pm

very good, its the best choice

  • carol // July 30, 2010 at 12:02 am

Carvalho and SM play in different positions, duh! And Mourinho prefers someone at their peak (RC) as opposed to someone who’s rising because he wants instant results and not a long term project.

are you serious? Ramos is not in the starting 11, maicon and ramos are ranked in the top 5 defenders in the world. Ashley cole is not comming, ozil isnt either, khedira maybe, carvalho isnt coming

  • mr killermann // July 30, 2010 at 1:23 am

this looks great, cant wait.first they have to snatch carvalho, maicon and also get sami and mesut, but i think ramos should be there in rb

  • MwepuLlunga // July 30, 2010 at 7:40 am

    Casillas
    Maicon – Ramos – Pepe – A Cole
    Lass – Alonso
Di Maria – Kaka – Ronaldo
    Higuain

A manager as savvy as JM won’t ignore Kaka, expect Sjneideresque performances from him next season. Why would he want Khedeira when he’s got a classic Makele type player in Lass with Alonso pulling the strings.

If they can’t get A Cole anyone know who the other LB candidates are…

  • HUMPHREY MULENGA // July 30, 2010 at 8:37 am

No,NO,NO,NO,It will be a big mistake for Jose to overhall the whole team ,RAMOS should be in the first XI.Iam not for A. COLE to join Real. JM dont make a mistake or else……………………??????????

  • CompactDisk // July 30, 2010 at 8:46 am

Uh, you put Ronaldo and Di Maria on the wrong wings… What a doos.

  • DIORU ENITE E // July 30, 2010 at 9:12 am

Why the day dreaming? Let MOU get the players first, then we can start taking about possible XI.

  • Wilson Reyes // July 30, 2010 at 11:19 am

where is Ramos the best right wing back in the world?

  • FEMI // July 30, 2010 at 2:38 pm

i dont fancy Carvalho bcoz of his age and form with a utility player like Ramos. why not, Ozil could wake Kaka if he is not sold and of course with this kinda starting eleven and Mourinho on d bench… Barca and Europe…BEWARE!

  • ManCho // July 30, 2010 at 3:37 pm

Nope i dont agree…Ramos is a fine RB and Pepe and Albiol is a decnt pairing who can grow…LB looks shaky currently…the other places are filled with talents…Madrid dont really need to sign a lot of people really…

  • beidas // July 31, 2010 at 7:20 am

Joe above its Real Madrid not Arsenal!!

    Casillas: Certainty

JM wants to have arguably the two best wing backs in the world by getting Cole and Maicon. For the monies mentioned they would have to be certain starters if they did sign.

Carvalho knows he will not be 1st choice and JM will make his prefered central defensive pairing from Raul Albiol, Pepe and Ramos. Ramos also adds cover to Maicon at right back meaning they will all get lots of games with Madids heavy schedual.

Lass and Alonso are the starting engine room buit its up to young Khadeira to force his way into Lass’s place. I think he can do it too.

Di Maria Kaka and Ronaldo must be 1st choice or they must be moved on. The contracts they are on are not justified by a bench warmer. Too much quality in these players to destroy their confidence by benching them as well.

If Ozil does sign and I think he will he will come on for one of Kaka or Di Maria almost every game and startin the game when one of the 3 is rested/injured.

Higuain to start with Benzema playing his last season at Real Madrid to come off the bench.

    summary

    Casillas

    Maicon, Ramos/Albiol, Pepe, Cole

    Lass/Khadiera, Alonso

    DiMaria, Kaka/Ozil, Ronaldo

    Higuain/Benzema

  • Someone // August 1, 2010 at 7:31 pm

Ramos and kaka should be on the team

  • Al // August 1, 2010 at 11:36 pm

I am sorry but no way is Ozil better then Kaka. Kaka is twice the player of Ozil and one good world cup doesnt make him the worlds best player and one bad world cup doesnt make Kaka the worst player. Kaka in my opinion is still the best. Ramos may not be good as Maicon but he still younger has the potential to be just as good if not better. Carvalho is old, Raul Albiol is quality if not pass him our way (Arsenal). They could do with Ashley cole and they would be a complete team, even better squad then Barca. Its just about playing like Barca now.

  • billy philip // August 2, 2010 at 11:25 am

Ramos has to be on that team. KAKA’s poor season was a one off! The guy’s still among the world’s top top footballers.

  • Next Ronaldo // August 12, 2010 at 12:35 pm

I would dream of becoming the next cristiano ronaldo i practice everyday and i am at aston villa academy and i love it there i am real fan and cristiano’s biggest fan.

  • Craig_90 // August 16, 2010 at 9:13 pm

Why is ashley cole even getting mentioned in this? And why is everyone agreeing he will be at real madrid next season? Chelsea will not sell him for any price because they know they cannot replace him with a player of equal quality. Carvalho may move though beacause Mourinho and him have a good relationship and Ancelotti preffered Alex for the majority of last season and he really stepped up and proved he is a worthy starter for Chelsea.

  • Shane // August 20, 2010 at 4:19 pm

    Casillas
    Ramos – Carvalho – Pepe – Bastos
    Kaka – Alonso
Di Maria – Ozil – Ronaldo
    Higuain

With Khadiera, Albiol, Benzema, Pedro, Diarra & Canales ready to step in at any point.
