Diego Maradona wants Aston Villa job, doesn’t ‘get’ UK media
Please let it be true

Having had his bluff firmly called by the Argentinean FA, it appears ill-fitting suit fan and confirmed LAD Diego Maradona has got his permanently-dilated eyes on Martin O’Neill’s vacated hotseat at Aston Villa.
According to his ‘European spokesman’ Walter Soriano, a job at Villa Park could be the introduction to English football Diego has always dreamt of:
Diego is very attracted to English football and the way of life in [England] and I know he would be very willing to move there.
Most right-thinking fans will have stopped reading at ‘football’ and written such news off as nonsense attention seeking, but wait – this story has given birth to an early contender for quote of the season:
He loves the English countryside and your respect for privacy, so he would be very happy there, especially at a big club like Aston Villa
In other news, yesterday’s News of the World ran more relationship-wrecking pictures of Peter Crouch hanging off a variety of blondes as its front-page lead, and today’s Mail is weeping into its cornflakes about not being allowed to reveal another England player’s indiscretions.
Respect for privacy? “LOL.”

The fact that they describe Aston Villa as a “big club” doesn’t raise any eyebrows?
It sure as hell made me chuckle…

Yayyy! Maradona as an EPL coach! Can you imagine the FUN of this year’s season if Bellamy AND Maradona roamed England’s pitches! Somebody needs to make this happen. NOW.

This needs to happen. Maradona and the English media will be the most entertaining thing outside the big four.
