New Manchester Utd signing Bebe is ‘struggling badly’

Rumours circulating the forward looks rubbish in training

£7.5m new boy Bebe isn’t having the best of starts of Man Utd. Reports claim the forward is having such a hard time of it in training he was pulled out of the squad for last night’s reserve team clash with Man City.

According to Mirror Football, at the moment Bebe showing about as much skill as you’d expect someone who was preparing to play in the Portugeuse third division six weeks ago:

It is thought that Bebe’s touch and control have been found wanting in training and coaches have doubted that he will be in contention for a first team place in the near future.

Oh dear. Could Carlos Queiroz have got this one wrong?

Oh for the love of God … the poor bloke is in the middle of moving not just house, but country. He’s learning a new language and getting used to an entirely different culture, one that considers the X Factor to be an entirely worthwhile way to spend what short time we have on the planet.

He isn’t expected to make the reserve team any time soon, far less make the first team or be named European Footballer of the Year. This is just the Mirror making mischief (although I think they ripped off the story from The Grauniad anyway).

c’mon give him a break, adapting to a new league is not easy especially if u’re coming from portugal, ronaldo, nani and anderson all took a little while before they understood the Epl. He never expected this, so he might not be ready yet psychologically.

Ahmed and Darren, sure he probably wasn’t expected to set the world alight straight away, but surely the fact that he’s doing badly in training is a serious worry, doing badly in a league match is understandable, but to do poorly and not be able to show the basic skills you need to make it at any top club in training is a train wreck in the making.
