Are Arsenal ready to poach Barcelona starlet Oriol Romeu?

Watch the defensive mid (no. 6) strut his stuff, in silent awe:

Spanish newspaper Sport is claiming Arsene Wenger is ready to ‘do a Fabregas’ and poach another one of Barcelona’s bright young prospects from under their noses.

18-year-old defensive midfielder Oriol Romeu, one of Spain’s beaten finalists at this year’s U19 European Championships, made waves in Barca’s B-team last year, leading youth-focused gaffer Pep Guardiola to hand him his first senior start in the Spanish Supercup last month.

However, Sport say Romeu, whose introduction to the first team as Sergio Busquets’ understudy has been slightly hampered by Javier Mascherano’s arrival, is yet to hold talks over a senior contract – and Le Prof is waiting in the wings.

no point in wasting our time, in 5 or 6 years when the kid turns into a great player we will have to hear “assistant coach xavi” talking about his Barca DNA and we will go through the same bullshit again.

I don’t care if he has a Barca DNA that will bring him back to Barca 5 – 6 years from now, as long he’ll back to barca and bring us 40mil then it is a good business. With 40mil we can bring many prospective players dude…
