Stephen Bywater likes his art to be really sexy
Gorgeous – yes. But is it art?
Art – it’s so very subjective. One man’s meat is another man’s poison, to use the famous idiom about vegetarians.
Anyway, the point being that whilst the sight of a blow up doll strapped to a portable toilet might not be everyone’s cup of tea, it’s the kind of emotive work that really floats Derby County goalkeeper Stephen Bywater’s onions.
Unfortunately for the sophisticated footballer – like the man with the bricks at the Tate all those years ago – some of those around him seem to be questioning whether the erotic bog piece that he’s set up in his garden is actually art, or just a big pile of rubbish.
As reported in today’s Mirror:
His bosses at Derby County FC have said they “completely disassociate” themselves from his misguided creative attempts and the local police have got involved.
Damn cops.
