Well lets wait and see not long to go now, all I will say as a Brit living in Qatar is that its a very safe country, they love football and most of all they will throw as much money as is needed at the project, build it to top quality and most of all it will be built on time with little fuss.

They have guaranteed FIFA that you can drink in fan zones it will be fantastic there as the government will throw everything at it.

You can drink there but it’s very complicated & risky when you do and frankly not worth it. It would be a very interesting case of FIFA greed for sponsoring country loot vs the needs of everyone else.

Can we stop referring to who is backing a bid?
It makes it sound like these people are somewhat more
than paid for whores/representative.

I dont mind when a retired footballer like Beckham
does it for their home country and even then, it means nothing to fans but when some guys gets a few bills so they can put his face on a hemorrhoid cream or WC candidacy, its called public relation job.

And guy above is right… a world cup in a fundamentalist country sounds idiotic and we will get to see even less breasts at games that we did at the gay South Africa WC where the sight of a few dozen sexy orange clad hotties was enough to get them jailed.

WC have to be held in countries where you can drink party and where the women are slutty and like to
show it.

Hmm. Looks stunning. But if qatar were to win the 2022 bid and if england do qualify, how are the fans supposed to survive without beer during the tournament since qatar is a islamic country?
