Spice up your sports coverage with some bets, courtesy of Sky

Put your coins to good use…

For those who like to mix betting with their sports viewing, here’s what our buddies at Sky Vegas have to say…

Digital television broadcaster Sky is well known for the wide range of channels provided by its Sky TV service, including the popular Sky Sports channels, which cover all major sports as well as many obscure favourites. The Sky Sports Package is one of the basic building blocks of any Sky television subscription. For just £20 per month, you can enjoy the in depth coverage of Sky’s four Sports channels, Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 and 4, as well as 24 hour news coverage on Sky Sports News. That’s not all, as all of these channels have recently been upgraded to HD. For an extra £10, you can sign up for Sky Sports in HD and watch the most highly anticipated matches and tournaments on TV in stunning high definition.

Although the basic Sky Sports Package includes five channels, there are also other options you may want to consider. For £29 a month instead of £20, you can include two ESPN channels, ESPN and ESPN America. If you choose to sign up for this package, you will receive the first three months of your subscription for no additional cost. ESPN sports adds even more to the exclusive coverage of Sky Sports, with live and exclusive Premier League football, the FA Cup, SPL and a host of international football matches. Both ESPN channels are available in HD. If you would rather just have the ESPN channels rather than Sky Sports, adding ESPN and ESPN America to your subscription will cost an additional £12.

You may find that the coverage offered by all four Sky Sports channels and Sky Sports News seems too much. If you would rather opt for just Sky Sports 1 or Sky Sports 2, you can do so by purchasing them individually. You can add either Sky Sports 1 or Sky Sports 2 to any basic Sky TV package for an extra £12. Additionally, if you’re interested in betting on sports, Sky has its own betting service known as Sky Bet that can be accessed online or over the phone. Sky Bet is a part of Sky Betting and Gaming, which also provides the Sky Vegas casino and Sky Poker gaming sites on the internet as well as the corresponding interactive channels that form part of Sky TV’s Variety Entertainment Package.

If you’re interested in betting and gambling as well as sports, the Sky Vegas casino is worth exploring. The online casino site provides a host of games including slots and table games, some of which can also be played on the interactive Sky Vegas casino channel. You can even play some of Sky Vegas’ most popular casino games on your TV whilst watching any other Sky channel, so you can enjoy the thrill of gaming and watching the match at the same time.
