Toto Schillaci starts a new career as a fake mafia boss

Following on from yesterday’s news Cuauhtémoc Blanco will soon be starring alongside Larissa Riquelme as a fireman in Mexican telly drama Triumph of Love, it appears yet another World Cup icon, Italia ’90′s Salvatore ‘Toto’ Schillaci, has taken up professional pretending.
According to our friends at Off the Post, Toto will be playing a mafia boss on Italian show Squadra Antimafia, which is apparently sort of like The Wire, but not as good and set in Sicily.
Says Toto:
It’s a world that fascinates me, that of television and film: the role does not matter. Otherwise I do not know what you would think of De Niro.
Sorry, you’ve lost us with that last bit.
Unfortunately it seems Schillaci won’t be able to flex too much thespian muscle, as he’ll be dead for one of his two scenes.
