Brazilians from Finnish 3rd division side pay a misguided tribute to Qatar’s WC2022 bid

Yeah, this one is strange even by our standards.

Marcello Matrone, Alysson Gomes and Bruno, a trio of Brazilians who turn out for Finnish third division team HIK, put on this performance in support of Qatar’s 2022 World Cup bid (they must have seen that stadium video) over the weekend, after scoring the match-winning goal in a 2-1 victory against Espa.

According to Bruno, there were two reasons for the routine:

The first was to support the candidacy of Qatar; and the second reason is to try and get a chance to play in the Arab world.

Um. Righty ho then.

You get a yellow card for taking off your shirt, yet nothing for putting on a dress and doing a veil dance – where’s the consistancy?
