Police question Claude Makelele over ‘fist fight’ with ex-girlfriend
Unnamed woman accused of breaking into his apartment
Former Chelsea hardman and anti-football icon Claude Makelele has been arrested after allegedly getting into a tear-up with his British girlfriend at the footballer’s £1m Paris pad.
An unnamed 35-year-old is said to have snuck into the apartment and confronted him over a series of recent rows. The Evening Standard quote ‘a source close to the case’ as saying:
The girlfriend has been having serious relationship problems with Makelele and went round to his house in La Celle-Saint-Cloud.
An outside gate had been left open, so she just walked in to confront him. According to Makelele, she grabbed him by the neck and caused him some nasty scratches.
The woman was reportedly left with ‘serious jaw injuries’ after Makelele swung out in self-defence, and was taken to hospital where doctors ordered her off work for four days.
French police say the former French international has filed a formal complaint, alleging assault and trespass.
It’s not the first time the 37-year-old has had girlfriend trouble at his digs in La Celle-Saint-Cloud. Supermodel ex Noemie Lenoir was found unconscious in the apartment after an attempted drugs and alcohol overdose in May this year.

I seem to recall that Noemi’s problems were with another dude, not Makalele.

And I thought she was found unconscious in a park NEXT to the apartment building.

The original AFP report quoted French police as saying Makelele found her unconscious at the apartment, an ambulance was called (and then cancelled) and she was later found outside.
