Beckham? Super patriot? Man of unrelenting England passion and desire? Yeah really? That’s why hes living an ocean apart in LA-LA land chasing the U.S Dollar with wifey whilst trying to break the much larger consumer frenzied U.S mass market so that he/she can sell their over priced perfume, jeans, sunglasses etc at extortionate prices.

Oh and England? Desperate to play to sustain Brand Beckham greed, profits, marketability, spin offs and self publicity? Self serving greedy prat !

Yes, I remember that desire when he deliberately got himself booked against Wales because he didn’t want to play in the next game – away to Azerbaijan.

That was desire all right. Desire not to play for the country you love because they have a shitty away trip coming up that you didn’t fancy.

So he got booked on purpose. What an ambassador for football. What a role model.

…because Paul, the man has played in more England matches than ANY OTHER outfield player. Despite Prima-Dona ‘retirements’ by other international players, Beckham has a desire to play for his country. He’s not maybe the ‘best’ in terms of skill or goals, but he is the most dedicated footballer of his generation.

What kind of question is this? David Beckham is one of few footballers who DESERVES to get a proper farewell, but certainly not A FORCED one, like Capello is doing now or McLaren tried before, only to call him back in shame! And the question of whether he deserve or not is wrong actually..coz it’s his RIGHT to get a very, very proper send-off after what he did on and off the pitch for England!

Shows that Beckham was always more interested in the footballing side of things than anything else. Ironically despite hype surrounding him from tabloids etc. he’ll go down as one of the most under rated players of his generation. He’s not as good as ‘people’ think he is but he’s not far off.
