Barcelona players given fleet of new Audis, take them for a spin
Dani Alves is so excited he appears to have a small seizure (@ 0:45)
… and seeing as 99.9% of footballers are godawful drivers, it’ll come as no surprise a few of them quite literally ‘went for a spin’.
Barcelona first-teamers have had free Audi A7s supplied to them ever since the club struck an agreement with the German manufacturer back in 2006.
Yesterday, the Blaugrana celebrated the handover of Audi’s latest model by piling around Parcmotor Castelloli racetrack like 15-year-old boy racers.
Interestingly, noble manager Pep Guardiola refused a car of his own because none of the rest of Barca’s backroom staff were offered one.
Quote of the day went to Manuel Caballero, director of Audi in Spain, who got proceedings off to a fantastic start by proudly declaring:
It is an honour to deliver these cars to the players of Real Madrid.
