Glasses smashed as Rooneys row in Dubai restaurant
Tempers flare in posh steakhouse
Wayne Rooney is using time off while he recuperates from an ‘ankle injury’ to go on a jolly to Dubai, where he’s celebrating his 25th birthday with wife Coleen.
However, according to The Sun, sun, sand and a new £250,000 contract isn’t enough to keep things hunky dory between the pair and they were spotted having a very public lovers tiff in a trendy restaurant.
Customers at the Sea Fire restaurant watched on as a glass was accidentally shattered during the argument, one saying:
They’ve got all the money in the world now ['Rooney to blame for recession' - tomorrow's Daily Mail] but didn’t look happy. They’ve obviously still got problems.
Another person more concerned with studying strangers’ body language than enjoying their holiday said:
I saw them in the hotel lobby when there were no fans or photographers anywhere near and their relationship looked very strained. She was sat down while he stood a little apart from her.
Neither said a word to each other and there were no smiles or physical contact. Later, around noon on Sunday, they looked miserable again on sun loungers around the hotel pool.
Wayne was on his back, head raised, and Coleen seemed to keep staring at him. But he wouldn’t look back.
They didn’t speak once during two hours lying side-by-side and seemed very tense. There was no fun or chat.
On a scale of 1-10, how much truth do you reckon there is to this story?
