Newcastle pair Kevin Nolan and Andy Carroll have released a statement through the club categorically denying any knowledge of drug use in what the News of the World called ‘a drug-fueled orgy’ at Nolan’s house.

Yesterday the newspaper claimed Carroll, who is staying with Nolan as per his bail conditions after being accused of attacking an ex-girlfriend, yelled “Ride me! Ride me!” as he romped with two women on returning from a ’14 hour bender’ with his teammate.

According to the report “cocaine was left strewn across a table”, although the NotW state the players did not touch the drugs.

A statement released by Newcastle yesterday read:

Both Kevin Nolan and Andy Carroll categorically deny having any knowledge that drugs had been brought on to the premises and are pleased that the paper does not even allege that they were aware of the presence of drugs.

Neither player would ever contemplate taking drugs or condone the use of such substances.

Still, that hasn’t stopped The Sun from having a cheeky pop this morning.
