Villa vs Man Utd is a good chance for Ferguson to get an away win
Villa have only won one of their last 27 games with United
Do you like winning money? Yeah, us too. Here are some tips from our friends at Ladbrokes on how to profit from this weekend’s Premier League action:
Manchester United need to start winning away games if they are to maintain pressure on Chelsea at the head of the Premier League and a trip to one of their favourite opponents may spark the start of such a streak.
There are a lot of factors in Manchester United’s favour as they travel to Villa Park looking to at least maintain the present four-point gap on Premier League table-toppers Chelsea.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s team have only lost once in their last 29 games with Villa in the league, while Villa have beaten the opposition on a single occasion in the last 27 showdowns in all competitions.
Both teams come into the game with weak squads, with Villa facing the prospect of missing nine potential starters and United also having to scrape by with a few absentees because of injury and illness.
However, with the Red Devils having a far deeper and more experienced squad they should have enough to beat Aston Villa at 4/5.
In Villa’s favour is that they are still unbeaten at home this season and have only lost once in the Premier League at Villa Park in their last 15 games.
Meanwhile, Gerard Houllier has five victories over Manchester United from his days as Liverpool boss and he is 7/2 to get the better of Ferguson once again.
The draw, which would maintain United’s unbeaten start and extend their longest unbeaten start in Premier League history to 13 games, is 5/2.
