Aaron Ramsey’s best friend stabbed in face trying to protect player on Halloween
Arsenal midfielder was threatened on a night out in Cardiff
One of Aaron Ramsey‘s childhood friends needed 45 stitches after being knifed in the face on a night by attackers goading the Arsenal player on a night out in Cardiff.
20-year-old Rhys Hutcherson was left with a five inch gash following the assault on Halloween night, which occured as the pair tried to exit a bar.
A group of Cardiff fans had been hassling 19-year-old Ramsey over his switch to the Gunners back in 2008.
Staff working at the bar told The Mirror:
Aaron Ramsey and his mate were enjoying themselves. They weren’t drunk and they weren’t looking for trouble.
A group of Cardiff fans spotted him and started giving him a hard time for leaving the club. They were calling him Judas and a deserter.
Ramsey shrugged it off but these guys kept banging on about it and accused him of deserting his home club. They were taunting him.
When his mate was stabbed later there was blood everywhere on the street. The guy with the knife ran off but a doorman caught him with a rugby tackle a couple of hundred yards down the street.
Hutcherson was subesquently arrested along with the alleged knifeman after tracking him and apparently getting into another fight.
He was later released on bail while his 18-year-old attacker was allowed to go free.
Police say investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Did i read that correctly? Hutcherson (Ramsey’s m8) was released ON BAIL whilst his ATTACKER was ALLOWED TO GO FREE!!! Are you shitting me? Thats wots wrong with this country, the victim gets treated like that and the perpetrator gets away scot-free to go and lump some misery on some poor other sod, DISGRACE!!!
Its because of incidents like this, that make me hope we never see Cardiff in the Prem! Great club who play some tidy stuff but unfortunate that a minority can tarnish the whole club, idiots!!!

I live in Cardiff, but I support Arsenal, and seeing as im a teenager i am seeing people my age starting to integrate themselves into the ‘soul crew’ Cardiffs ‘firm’. Its pretty disgusting the way you see these people behave. Although its only a minority that are like this, it really does tarnish the clubs reputation, I will never be a cardiff fan, i have never liked them. but ALL fans were over the moon for Aaron Ramsey when he joined Arsenal, seeing a young Welsh player bought up through the Cardiff ranks and then moving on to one of the biggest teams in England and Europe, especially with the reputation that Arsenal have for nuturing young players. Everyone wanted him to do well. Theres no doubt though, that the elder members of the ‘soul crew’ will be unhappy about this.

I am a Cardiff fan but also love arsenal. I live in Cardiff.and in Cardiff as far as I now all Cardiff fans still love Aaron HE IS A CARDIFF BOY.and arsenals five million help save Cardiff from going bankrupt . the idiots how did this will never be welcome at the Cardiff stadium I for one don’t Cardiff and Arsenalare grate clubs with grate fans

did I read this right? He was knived in the face and still chased after the attaker and was able to fight? Fook give him a medal for that because if someone can chase after an attacker after reciving a 4 inch gash in the face and tackle him he deserves all the plaudid we can give him.

If the knifeman gets off with that the whole of Wales should hang their heads in shame. Ramsey is about the only Welshman I can stand anyway, but I would buy Hutcherson a pint for sure.

If such thing had happened over here in my area, a team of headhunters will be formed to track those assailants. Their heads will be dried out in the sun to allow birds to eat their eyes and then hang on the trees…. This the reward for starting a fight with no reason.
