The tipsters fancy a Spurs win from tonight’s big match
Multiply your money…
It’s rare in life that you get to sense the full spectrum of football emotion whilst standing in just one spot, but should Spurs pull off a victory this evening, North London will morph into a hungry melting pot of Tottenham European glee mixed with frustrated Arsenal woe. Those stuck in the middle will presumably feel absolutely nothing.
Anyway, according to the men responsible for making money turn into more money, Henry Redknapp’s men should have this one in the bag. This from our pals at Ladbrokes:
A fourth successive home victory for Tottenham in the Champions League will ensure that they continue their dream competition and reach the knockout stages of the tournament.
Tottenham are 1/2 to beat Werder Bremen and cement their place at the head of Group A with just one game remaining, which for Harry Redknapp is a trip to Holland to face FC Twente.
While Spurs have been strong at White Hart Lane in the Champions League this season, they also hold a strong historical home record against German opposition, where they have won five out of six and never lost.
Tottenham’s cause is also enhanced further by Bremen’s recent poor domestic for, where they have conceded ten goals in their last two away outings.
Furthermore, they are still to win away in the Champions League this season and have only brought 12 senior players to England because of a mix of injury and suspension.
Bremen have nothing to lose and have to win to stand any chances of reaching the last 16 of the competition this season.
They are 5/1 to upset the form book and beat Spurs.
