David Villa, Forlan, Messi

Not to discount club seasons or CL but WC has to count extra. Its once every four years. More people will remember Forlan and Villa’s years than Milito’s. Even better if you are one of a handful of players to do well in WC and club season. And did you see some of Robben’s goals in the CL knockout stages? He was incredible. Made Ribery look plain average, which he might be at this point.

Maicon was put in his place by Bale
Fabregas warrants no mention on current form with Arsenal and Spain
Milito has been alright since CL
Schweinsteiger was great in WC but I don’t watch enough Bundesliga to know

V- seen as though its a team game Mr Ramos started every game of the World Cup on the winning team with 5 clean sheets in the process and topped the tournaments performance index with 9.79, qualified by winning all games. Nobody has taken the piss out of Ramos like Bale did to Maicon although that is only 2 games. Fair do’s its a close call but a sick joke, i think not!
