Who should host the 2018 World Cup?

“I want to be BA”

Prince William, David Cameron, David Beckham

In a World Cup 2018 bid recreation to the A Team, Prime Minister David Cameron was seen sipping some milk, before being lugged onto a plane to Zurich – a journey which would find him swapping political ideologies with David Beckham, before schmoozing with 23 all-important voters ahead of Thursday’s big announcement.

Cameron said this, regarding England’s crack squad of charmers:

“I think we have got a very strong team here – Prince William, David Beckham and myself – and we are going to be making the arguments for England 2018.”

But should they get it? Let us know your thoughts with a vote and a comment.

Excuse my lack of convenient pessimism about England’s chance which seems rampant on blogs like this, but I don’t see why England shouldn’t be considered. All the countries that have hosted it twice, and the country that established the sport has only had it once. That doesn’t seem too fair.

But that being said, FIFA will probably rake them over the coals and give it to Russia.

    England has the 2012 Olympics.
    Russia has the 2014 Olympics.
Holland Belgium had the Euro 200o.
Those three facts alone may knock those countries out of the competition. It wouldn’t seem fair to keep giving the top sporting events to the same countries.

It has been awhile since Spain hosted the World Cup (1982)…and Portugal has never had it.

I hope England gets it…but I wouldn’t be surprised if Holland is chosen. Decent location. No controversy.
