The Liverpool revolving door set to start spinning
The revolving door at Liverpool FC is slowly thawing out following the harsh weather conditions caused by The Spoiler’s misjudged decade-long decision to spray aerosols directly at the Ozone Layer to create better summers without considering the flipside. Sorry about that. Here’s some news about ins and outs at Anfield….
In what appears to be some kind of gentleman’s agreement between Liverpool’s summer signings to become so bad that Aquilani looks like business of Cantona to Man United proportions, Joe Cole, Paul Konchesky (thanks Mum!), Christian Poulsen, and Milan Jovanovic have all had horrible seasons. Now the whisper is that two will be getting all Robbie Keane about it and sodding off.
First up, Jovanovic looks set to leave after failing to impress during his probation period, with Christian Poulsen not far behind. The latter has been linked with a “reverse Mascherano” move to West Ham, where he will no doubt become a hero and go on to captain Argentina.
Also rumoured to be “doing the off” is Glen Johnson, with the growing word on the street insisting that his departure will mark the arrival of Shaun Wright Phillips and Adebayor, both of whom seem intent on slowly descending the Premier League ladder, before seeing out the twilight of their playing days somewhere like Wigan.
On the plus side, they probably won’t have to move house.
More transfer news coming later…
