Speak Now

Liverpool fans, who do YOU want to replace Hodgson?

As he slides bloodily down his sword, it must now only be a matter of time for Hodgson – a weekend trip to Manchester isn’t exactly ideal.

According to the papers, Didier Deschamps has suddenly lurched forward to pointlessly declare himself NOT INTERESTED in the job – joining a lengthy list of other people who aren’t interested in managing Liverpool right now, including: Frank Rijkaard, Eric Cantona, Cilla Black, Matt Cardle from the X Factor, and Martin Amis.

Good to know Didier.

Anyway, Liverpool fans, time to speak up. Who do you want? Let us know with a comment.

Roy Keane is available, he has experience of managing in the Championship with a very average squad. He’d be perfect.

I agree, Ralf Rangnik. With good support from Comolli it could be an interesting partnership.

    Chuck Norris.

Seriously. Is there anything he CAN’T do? After all, Chuck Norris once commented, “There are few problems in this world that cannot be solved by a swift roundhouse kick to the face. In fact, there are none.”

I think Marco van Basten would be a solid choice. The guy knows what quality football is all about and would probably be able to convince Torres to stay having been a forward himself.

Otherwise I would say wait for Mourinho after Real Madrid is done with him :D

Van Basten, seriously? 32 games as a club manager in a league barely as good as Scotland, and a quarter of those were defeats. Solid choice.

I’m not judging him the club but international level. Granted that spell wasn’t very long but it an improvement to those before him and it showed me he can hold his own against the superstars.

Which is really what you need at the Liverpool. They need someone who isn’t a push over like Hodgson and show some authority and leadership.
