Wayne Bridge to get extra football lessons at West Ham

“Great… Excellent… Upton Park sounds lovely”

If you were at school and missed a couple of weeks due to chickenpox or other childish illnesses, there was often a kindly teacher who’d welcome you back, sit you down and tell you not to worry about being behind everyone else – you’ll catch up soon enough.

Well, that’s what it will be like for Wayne Bridge at West Ham United, but instead of a kindly teacher he’ll get Avram Grant. And instead of a £1.20 dinner ticket and a pat on the head, he’ll get £90,000-a-week.

Bridge has only played three Premier League games for Manchester City this term, with his last start coming in City’s 3-2 win over Blackpool in the middle of October.

That doesn’t appear to have put off West Ham who are willing to take the player on loan until the end of the season, with a view to potentially buying the left-back in the summer. Aston Villa were also in the running to get Bridge, but it’s thought he is keen to return to London – no doubt to be near The Saturdays’ sexy Secretary, Frankie Sandford.

According to New! Magazine (if it’s hot, it’s there) the fragrant Frankie has soooo wanted to be a WAG for, like, ages and has now finally become one thanks to her blossoming relationship with the sort-of footballer.

A ‘pal’ of Frankie’s said:

“It’s no secret Frankie wants to be the Cheryl Cole of the band, and wants to launch a solo career.

“She thinks by having a footballer boyfriend, like Cheryl did, she will stand out from her other bandmates.

“Frankie knows that the band have a sell-by date, and wants to put in the groundwork to maintain a career away from the rest of the girls.”

If you break his heart like that bloody Vanessa Perroncel there will be hell to pay, Frankie.

Thankfully, the ‘pal’ added:

“Frankie knows Wayne has been through heartache over the last year, and she doesn’t want to mess him about.”

Would any girl however stunning actually be silly enough to say/think something like that and expect to keep the chap involved interested? I smell a jealous “pal”.
