Man City poised to rain on Arsene Wenger’s parade

The great shame about people with lots of money is that they tend to lose perspective, and splurge money not on things that they want or particularly need, but things that other, poorer people want.

All of which leads completely seamlessly to news that the Man City boardroom is reportedly preparing to up robes and urinate all over Arsene Wenger’s chips by swooping in and throwing stupid money at Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – the dinky Southampton speedster who has been decribed as “Theo Walcott, only better”, or “Aaron Lennon, only without the go faster stripes in his hair”.

More about that here.

Yeah. Right. ‘Coz that strategy worked really well for Wright-Phillips, didn’t it? He’ll end up being paid to watch football from the Man City bench all through the most important part of his career instead of getting games and improving to a point where he actually could realise his full potential. Much better for him if he went somewhere he could TRULY develop, like Arsenal.
