Make money out of someone else’s pain!

It’s sad it’s come to this, isn’t it? Andy Gray is “devastated to lose the job [he] loves,” while Richard Keys admitted: “Going forward without Andy would have been almost impossible.”

BUT NEVER MIND! Lets make some money out of it! Here’s what our handsome friends at Ladbrokes have to say about who’s in line to be the new Keysey…

The fact that David Jones was chosen to replace Richard Keys on Sky’s broadcast of the recent Premier League clash between Bolton and Chelsea makes him overpriced at 9/2 in the Ladbrokes betting odds to be given the gig on a full-time basis.

After Andy Gray was sacked for his off-air sexist comments that were leaked, Keys decided that it was the right decision to resign for his involvement in the saga and the fact that it would be impossible to go on without his sidekick.

This has left Sky with a gaping hole in their presenting team and there are a number of leading contenders hoping to step into the role.

Ben Shepherd is the 2/1 favourite in the football betting to be named as Keys’ successor and has anchored some live football coverage for Sky in the past, alongside co-presenting Goals on Sunday with Chris Kamara.

However, it appears that his involvement in live shows has marginally dropped since the start of the season, which could diminish his chances of securing the role permanently.

Therefore, Jones may be ready to make the jump from Sky Sports News and was reasonably well received after his debut in Bolton’s showdown with Chelsea.

Jeff Stelling is an obvious betting candidate at 7/1, but taking over from Keys would mean that he would have to leave his slot presenting Soccer Saturday.

Stelling has starred in this post for some time and could prove exceptionally difficult to replace.

Adrian Chiles may be one of the better bets at a longer price at 20/1 as he may not think twice about leaving failing breakfast show Daybreak.

If Sky want to prove a point by appointing a female presenter then they may take a chance with Georgie Thompson at 25/1, who is popular and has been steadily building her career in recent years.
