Tevez lies to miss a friendly and gets punished by missing a pointless friendly
Tevez – snoody
As far as punishments go, The Spoiler can think of a few worse things than having to sit out a pointless international friendly in the middle of the season, a few days ahead of your club’s biggest game in yonks.
It’s kinda like making a child smoke a whole pack of cigarettes after catching them smoking one. Except, unbeknownst to the parents/guardians of this imaginary child, he LOVES cigarettes – he can’t get enough of those nicotiney, tarry sticks of lung-clearing goodness: “A whole pack!? For me! Oh… damn it.”
Anyway, everyone’s favourite controversial billboard star, Carlos Tevez, has been left out of the Argentina squad for tonight’s friendly against Portugal in Switzerland, because he LIED to miss their game against Brazil in November.
Tevez said he had a muscular problem that stopped him playing – possibly the same injury that Ryan Giggs had for a decade whenever Wales had a friendly – but still managed to get off his sick bed to score a brace against Fulham four days later.
Needless to say, this porkie has got Argentina manager Sergio Baptista a bit miffed and famously level-headed Argentine FA president, Julio Grondona, has come out to say:
“I think that Tevez’s absence from this list is because of the attitude he had when he didn’t come to play against Brazil and then did so for Manchester City.
“Our management team doesn’t like this attitude. It would have been much easier for him to tell us he just didn’t want to come in the first place.”
Tsk, tsk. With Tevez hardly being a ray of sunshine anymore, you can probably expect a well considered reply or international retirement from Maradona-lover Carlos any day now.

If ANYONE truly likes Carlos Tevez, anyone in any Football Association, any club, any grandstand, or any pub, please step forward (or notify me and the rest of the world if you have a friend who can be classified as such).
He seems to be on everyone’s pissy side, and never appears to care. Its a shame, the work he did at West Ham and Man Utd was extraordinary. Now he should be considered one of the least liked individuals in World football, up there with John Terry (even tho Chelski have fans!) and El-Hadj Diouf.

Honestly lets be serious. He is still good. So he has an attitude along with most players. C Ronaldo is caught on camera pushing the opposing coach every time something doesn’t go his way. And JT messed up ok once. Ashley Cole has messed up a lot and he really isn’t that great a player. That and his wife was so fine and he was so stupid. He still works hard at his club but like at most of his clubs he doesn’t get the spotlight. At man u it was ronaldo. Argentina its messi. Man city it’s…well whoever the latest multi million dollar transfer is.
