Transfer stuff

Fabregas to Real Madrid, some Reina to Man Utd, and more…

Apparently Rochelle Wiseman from The Saturdays is Paul Ince’s niece – who knew?

Anyway, the transfer window has only been shut a matter of days and already there are some excellent rumours doing the rounds. So lets make the most of them before the summer, when you’ll be prepared to sew your ears and eyes shut rather than hear or see the name ‘Cesc Fabregas’ ever again…

However, while we’re not too jaded with the little Tika-Taker, there is a brilliant rumour in Spanish paper Sport who claim Real Madrid and Arsenal are already in talks with Arsenal about signing the Arsenal skipper.

Real are thought to be willing to spend around €60 million – making Barcelona’s reported summer budget of €45 million look like the drop in the ocean that it is. €45 million? That’s not even £38 million at the current exchange rate – you can barely get a striker with one England cap for that.

Sport don’t seem sure whether this is a genuine offer or just an attempt by Real to get Barca to pay over the odds – a little trick that both Real and Barca are apparently very keen on.

Meanwhile, Pepe Reina allegedly has a £20 million buy-out clause in his contract and has been writing flirty messages on Man Utd’s wall. He couldn’t, could he?

He said:

“Yes, Van der Sar will hang up his gloves in the summer so of course they are looking. I can’t do anything. I can’t say anything logically as I have a contract with Liverpool.

“Of course one likes to fight for titles and be in a team that does that. We always fought to be in the Champions League and try to win the title, but unfortunately it hasn’t been the case in the last couple of years.”

Finally, Harry Redknapp – whose main hobby is talking about other team’s players – was spouting off in The Sun about how good Scott Parker was last night.

He ‘wrote’:

“He proved last night he can operate in the best company and deserves more chances in an England shirt. [...] He is an effective no- frills player who gets on with the job of breaking up attacks and winning the ball. [...] I don’t know why Parker has had to wait so long for an England breakthrough.”

Fair play to Harry, he’s prepared to play the long game…

hahah, as an Arsenal fan I actually this one is funny. If he were to go, I hope it really is to Real. Is that weird?

Points off for the Andy Carroll reference, though. When are people going to realize that his lack of experience is a feature and not a bug?

Disagree…Carroll reference was funny. It pointed out facts between the two players that are very true, but forgot to mention that Carroll will be in jail by the time Cesc goes to Real
