I like Platini but to pretend that to change the day of the finaly after all these decades was to allow “families” to watch the final is an obvious lie. The reason was to let the business people a chance to actually come and watch something that they have very little understanding of. By now it’s common knowledge that Premiership teams have a more passionate following than the league games for this precise reason.

This said, I’m sure things would have been even worse without Platini and Blatter. I do have some respect for them because they’ve shown signs of actually caring about the traditions of football.

Yes, but soonerscotty you fail to take account of the fact that the Black Eyed Peas won’t be playing at halftime, not will Christina Aguilera be around to drunkenly screw up the Star Spangled Banner(or the CL theme song). That’s got to be worth something. I think these tickets my be even more underpriced that I thought.

What have been the price ranges in recent years??

The Champions League Final is a bigger event than the Super Bowl and the NFL charged fans $200 (~123GBP) to stand outside the stadium to watch the game on screens.

Not that I have the cash for a ticket or travel and expenses but, 176GBP sounds like a deal for a Champions League Final.

Is scalping legal in England? Because if it is, the true price of lots of tickets will be much higher. Like any high demand sporting event. The truth is that they could probably charge lots more and still fill the stadium.
