Many of the old terraces were dirty filthy death traps. If new terraces are built, they have to be built to a high standard & at the first sign of bad behaviour they should be closed for a specified period.

I think the terraces are a potential hazard, but really enliven the atmosphere. I didn’t grow up with them so don’t have an attachment like most. However, going forward I think new stadia should pay tribute to this tradition by building a dugout of sorts below the stands, so that standing fans can watch with their eyes right at pitch level. It wouldn’t be to everyone’s liking, but a perspex window could allow viewing if designers didn’t like the screaming masses right behind the team benches. Just an option to think about, if it hasn’t been proposed already.

Surely they have to bring it back. Football is for the fans not some tie wearing business men

I think they should bring it back in certain sections…what about just behind the goal…if you want to sit, then you can everywhere else in the f’in stadium.
