The inevitable

Owen Hargreaves’ career at Man Utd looks to be finally over

His best moment?

Earlier today Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed that Owen Hargreaves will miss the rest of the season because of a shoulder injury and – with Hargreaves out of contract at the end of the season – it looks very much like he’s played his last game for United.Fergie said this:

“It’s a shoulder injury. It has just brought his season to an end. He has just carried bad luck all the time he has been here. I am pretty sure he won’t be playing this season.”

“His contract is up at the end of the season. I don’t know what is going to happen.”

The Spoiler would like to remember the good bits of Hargreaves’s career – the 2006 World Cup when he made people realise he was actually good, scoring his penalty for United in the Champions League final and generally just being really good that season.

Oh, and that free-kick against Arsenal – which is even more impressive when you consider he managed to get Ronaldo off it.

Hopefully we’re wrong and he’ll come back. If not – nice one, Owen.

They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder.

    Well, turns out it doesnt.

He is about as English as Gregg Rusedski
